Areas We Will Be Discovering

Day 1: Dec 4  Arrivals to Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). Transfer to  Hotel Bougainvillea Group dinner/Orientation Day

Day 2: Dec 5  Transfer To central Pacific Coast Carara Opportunity to see the Scarlet Macaw and beautiful wildlife close to the Ocean, Stay in Tarcoles birding Lodge

Day 3: Dec 6  Boat Tour in Tarcoles River wildlife, Mangrove and birds kingfishers and other aquatic birds, Stay in Tarcoles birding lodge

Day 4: Dec7 Visit Carara National Park Transfer to the south Pacific, ocean View La Cusinga Lodge, enjoy the Gardens and beautiful Landscaping

Day 5: Dec 8 Visit The Nauyaca Waterfall, nature and landscape photography stay in La Cusinga Lodge

Day 6: Dec 9 Whale Tour in the morning Transfer to the Highlands of Costa Rica Savegre Area, Savegre Lodge or Paraiso, hummingbirds

Day 7: Dec10  Quetzal tour, hummingbirds and highland birds , Stay in Paraiso or Savegre Early morning birding, birding in the cloud forest and transfer to San Jose

Costa Rica is a tropical country and it is possibly going to rain every day. But normally it rains towards the end of the day or during evening time so this should not be a reason to worry.

Things to Bring

  1. Camera- preferably a DSLR/mirrorless camera,
  2. Tripod
  3. Camera bag
  4. Laptop with Lightroom Classic  or other basic photo editing software
  5. Comfortable clothing
  6. Warm clothing
  7. Waterproof/ jacket raincoat
  8. Comfortable shoe- moderate amount of walking preferably waterproof hiking shoe
  9. External Battery Charger for cell phone

  1. A wide-angle lens like 16-35mm
  2. A mid-range zoom like 24-105 mm
  3. A long zoom lens – zoom lens from 400mm to 600mm

Cost of the workshop is $4950 and payable through Check “Raj Bose Photography LLC” or paypal.
The non-refundable deposit is calculated as 20% of the total amount payable at time of booking.
Payment of the balance is due two month before the tour commences.

Cancellation policy

In case the workshop is filled, and you decide to cancel, we will refund you the full amount you paid minus $300 as service charge. In case there are still seats available for the workshop and you decide to cancel, then you will be refunded based on the following:

More than 60 days to the commencement of the workshop: we will refund you the full amount minus $300 fee.

Less than 60 days: no refund We will refund you by the same method you originally paid for the workshop
